Meet our Team

The Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center is staffed by one full-time employee, the Executive Director. In addition, several part-time positions are responsible for everything from coordinating fundraisers, scheduling networking and educational opportunities for business leaders, to scheduling volunteers to man the Visitors center.

Executive Director – Rachel Stebbins

Rachel is the representative of the Chamber in the public eye; hers is the face you will become familiar with at ribbon cuttings, grand openings, business mixers and breakfast meetings. She interacts with the community and general public as well as with local business folks, political and government entities and media representatives, all while expanding opportunities for Chamber members. Her role makes her the point person for member programming, SVCC publications, and SVCC business operations. Rachel also coordinates the fund raising initiatives which help keep SVCC open to guests to the region as a gratis service.

Executive Assistant – Rita Stebbins

Rita is the friendly voice you often hear when you call the Chamber, but she does much more than answer calls and greet guests. Rita supports both the Executive Director and the Events Coordinator by maintaining event and membership records, completing data entry, organizing smaller events and fundraisers and a variety of other office responsibilities. You may also see her around town running errands and connecting with our members.

Events Coordinator – Ashley Beshore

Ashley’s role centers around the Chamber’s largest fundraiser: the Bridge Bust. She works throughout the year to ensure this event runs smoothly for staff, vendors, volunteers, the Boroughs and all others involved. From filing for permits, to acquiring vendors and support resources, Ashley does it all. While most of her work takes place behind the scenes, she is a vital part of what makes SVCC a great organization for our members.

Seasonal Support Staff – Position is open

This Part time summer support position is crucial to the staffing of the Visitors Center for the summer season. This staff person makes sure the Visitors Center is open to visitors during the period that the trolley runs on the weekends, and assists visitors by answering questions, giving directions, etc. They staff the Visitors Center on both Saturday and Sunday from Memorial Day through Labor Day. On occasion, they are asked to assist with fund raising events.
